QUEEN of TONE is a dual overdrive pedal stacked with Horseman and Morning Star. Why? Because great guitarists love 2 overdrives for their tone. On the left side of the pedal is the Horseman with SILVER mode. The Horseman is based on the legendary Centaur, with a modified circuit to access the secondary function by simply holding the foot switch~ SILVER mode. Carve out your tone with the Output, Treble, and Gain knobs, then try switching between the 2 modes: Gold and Silver, which offers massive headway usually requiring an 18v input. Gold Mode mimics its classic predecessor; the transparent Gold Centaur overdrive pedal and the Silver Mode is a powered-up version with an extended gain range (Silver Centaur). On the right side of the pedal is the Morning Star with SHINE mode. The Morning Star is based on the legendary Bluesbreaker circuit: a very transparent, low gain drive. Like our Morning Star, it also features a simple foot switch hold to engage the iconic SHINE mode for a crystal clear treble boosted tone. By using the versatile routing and toggle switches, You can adjust the order of the overdrivesMS->HM or HM->MS. On the back of the pedal, you can toggle the BF/TB switch for Buffer-Bypass or True-Bypass, and the IFS/NORMAL switch to engage INPUT FET STAGE (IFS) to increase the input signal in order to reach the amp’s breakthrough edge that can drive the tube amplifier hotter. NUX TAPE ECHO is a tribute to the Japanese-made Space Echo from 1974. Analogue tape echo devices record incoming audio to a loop of magnetic tape, then replays the continuous loop over the playback head before it is erased again by new incoming audio. The Space Echo units used the standard 1/4" tape designed to spool onto tape-reels, however, this device used no reels of any kind; the tape is transported via a capstan drive. The tape loop is contained in a loose, constantly moving jumble in the tape chamber (also known as the tape tank) under a plastic panel which protects the tape and keeps it from getting tangled. The design resulted in lower levels of noise, wow, and flutter, and cut down on tape wear. NUX TAPE ECHO uses Core-Image technology to capture these characteristics including BASS, TREBLE, REPEAT RATE (TIME), INTENSITY (REPEAT), ECHO VOLUME (LEVEL), REVERB VOLUME (REVERB), and physical features like WOW, FLUTTER, SATURATION. Even self-regenerate, self-oscillation using a dual foot switch stomp-box enclosure ! NUX TAPE ECHO offers all the essential knobs like BASS, TREBLE, TIME, REPEAT, LEVEL, REVERB and SELECT (repeat pattern) for quick tweaking. SHORT PRESS and hold the SELECT knob to enter ALT TWEAKING for SATURATION, WOW, FLUT, KILL DRY, EXP. (Use Foot Switch for self-FEEDBACK.) *Using Tap Tempo, the longest delay time can reach 1600ms. Repro-Tape Heads Combination NUX Tape Echo keeps the controls of the original hardware, and adds some for modern workflows. Use the SELECT knob for various head combinations, TIME for timing control, and REPEAT for repeats and self-oscillation. New features include BPM(Sub-division)/MS switching, and TAP TEMPO. Spring Reverb brings psychedelic Slapback & Ambience The important characteristic of Space Echo is the spring reverb. Core-Image technology captured the natural spring reverb sound, combined the warm and organic delay, TAPE ECHO gives you lush echoes. Hold the ON foot switch, you can engage self-oscillation to get the infinite feedback. SOS Mode Press ON and TAP footswitches simultaneously to enter SOS mode(looper). In the meantime, ON footswitch can do REC/PLAY/DUB as phrase looper function. The display will show you current status. During loop playing, you can press ON and TAP footswitch to quit SOS mode, the loop will keep playing. You can change the parameters and reenter to SOS mode. *TAPE ECHO offers 40 seconds real stereo phrase loop. Editor You can assign the MIDI settings through editor. TAPE ECHO includes 3.5mm TRS/MIDI adaptors for MIDI IN / OUT functionality. It’s a versatile and compact tool for modern guitarists looking for retro echo sound. What's new in firmware version 1.3.10? 1. Adding alternative ways to route Delay and Reverb. After the firmware update, you can use the new editor software to route the delay and reverb in different configurations, e.g., parallel (both act independently of each other), reverb into delay and delay into reverb. 2. Adding support for synchronizing delay time to MIDI clock. In addition to Tap Tempo, the NUX Tape Echo now features MIDI clock sync delay time. Features: Up to 1600ms stereo delay time by Tap Tempo 7 Repro-Tape Heads combinations and Reverb only Core-Image technology brings natural Tape Echo with parallel spring reverb sound back Realistic infinite pitch-shift feedback with TIME & REPEAT knobs tweaking Sub-division time signature with Tap Tempo foot switch 40 seconds stereo phrase loop with OLED status display Optional delay time display (MS / BPM) MIDI In/Out Holding ON footswitch for self-feedback
The NU-X Solid Studio IR & Power Amp Simulator is an IR Loader with built-in cabinet, microphones and microphone positions and power amp simulator with 3 tubes and power amp controls. The New Era of Mic-ing! NUX Solid Studio was created and designed to address: limited gear availability, and the cumbersome transport reality of physical amp/speaker cabinets. NUX is proud to introduce the new Verdugo series Solid Studio IR & Power Amp simulator, a pedal version of the most classic amp/cabinet scenarios including microphones and power amp tubes. Over many years of research, Solid Studio was specifically developed to fill the essential needs of discerning musicians and sound technicians, including the art of mic-ing instrument amplifiers on stage or in the studio. Solid Studio provides ease-of-use, reliability, versatility, and, above all, incredible audio quality. Virtual mic-ing is achieved by choosing 1 cabinet and 1 microphone, and fine-tuning the position of the microphone using the mic position switch. Plus, you can add the tube sound by engaging the power amp simulation. What's Inside? Solid Studio comes with 8 speaker cabinet simulations. All the cabinet models inside the Solid Studio are sounds great as original as the way it feels. And there are 8 microphone models you can combine with any cabinets. Also, you can adjust microphone position for fine tuning. Solid Studio Power Amp Simulation produces a warm tube-like sound and you can choose one of three power tubes for your essential sound needs. Input/Outputs NUX Solid Studio has 6.35mm mono input with input signal level toggle switch (-10dB / +4dB). And it has 3 outputs; simulation dedicated STEREO OUTPUT and DI OUT, and a bypass "THRU" output. Connection Tips Solid Studio offers a variety of connection ways and it can fit any desired spot on your signal chain to use all the cabinet/mic simulations efficient. Gig Saver You can place the Solid Studio at the end of your pedal board, and you can send the simulated sound to the mixer while you can send your original signal to the amp. This connection is very useful if the stage (or studio) and cabinet mic-ing conditions are not good enough. Silent Connection Direct connection to mixer or audio interface for recording. It gives more alternative cabinet options to record your favorite amplifier sound, especially if there is no chance to use any loudspeaker. Advanced Connection You can place the Solid Studio between the amp and the cabinet. You can send the loud signal from the amp's cabinet output to the Solid Studio, and you can send the original signal to the cabinet, simulated signal to the mixer/audio interface. WARNING - When you use the advanced connection method: The amplifier's speaker output must be connected to the Solid Studio's input by a SPEAKER CABLE The Solid Studio's THRU output must be connected to the speaker cabinet's input by a SPEAKER CABLE The Solid Studio's output mode must be selected as SPK (SPEAKER) BEFORE YOU PLAY: MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CABLES ARE CONNECTED AND SPEAKER MODE IS SET, TO AVOID THE POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO YOUR AMPLIFIER. Impulse Response (IR) Loader You can easily emulate the sound of any guitar cabinet by loading different IRs (Impulse Responses) to NUX Solid Studio. The internet is a huge library and you can find many different IR's (both paid and free). And you can add into Solid Studio to use whenever you want. (Currently, we are developing a software for Solid Studio and there will be more information soon) Technically, the Most Realistic IR Loader: Solid Studio Solid Studio’s IR resolution is 2048 samples and 46ms . When talking numbers, IR quality is “measured” with the sample resolution, and it’s “scaled” with ms (milliseconds). On this calculation, 1024 samples equal to 20ms capturing length which is currently the respected standard in the market. The best-known and respected profiler gear offers 2048 samples / 40ms length. The highest IR resolution quality or “limit” is 50ms. Unfortunately it doesn’t yield a realistic sound, and what we’re going after is the “real sound!" So, what makes the Solid Studio unique? It offers 46ms length which means it can perfectly bring back all of the frequencies (including the elusive low-ends). Regarding length, 20ms is certainly capable of capturing a sound profile with an efficient result but it’s not enough to catch the lower frequencies. That’s why high-end IR gear usually provides the 40ms length - it means higher resolution and better quality. Consider all of the intricate signal-processing that takes place from your guitar to your ear. Solid Studio delivers that signal in the blink of an eye with impeccable accuracy. How? Solid Studio’s high-quality processor / perfect algorithm simply deliver a lightning-fast speed which also limits the signal latency from input-to-output to less than 1 ms. Why is this so important? It’s common for IR equipment to have a signal latency coming-in at around 2 ms, and considering that each pedal on the signal-chain lengthens the signal path it further increases the latency. For example: the fastest multi-effect pedal needs 2 ms to deliver the sound, if you add “average” IR equipment to the equation, the latency will be 4ms, that’s ~barely~ workable for a guitar player. If it’s more than 5 ms it’s simply too slow and it’s basically unusable. Less than 1 ms is pretty darn awesome ;) IR Capture You can capture any of your favorite amplifiers sound and create your own IR file by Solid Studio. Place the microphone to the front of the speaker and adjust the capturing position as you desire. How to capture and create an IR file: Hold both foot switches, and plug-in the power cable. IR Capture mode will be activated. Make the connections between the Solid Studio, amplifier, microphone preamp and the microphone. (Check the IR Capture connection figure above) Choose a preset where you want to save your own IR file. (8 cabs * 3 mic positions * 8 mics = 192 patches) Press "Cab" foot switch, this will send the impulse signal and it will run from power amp to the speaker. Then your microphone will capture the impact sound and send the signal to the Solid Studio's input. Your very own IR file is ready to use. Important note: Update the Solid Studio firmware for using the IR capture function.
