The Pure Classic is passive system for classic guitar, with four pickup heads and an endpin jack. It is a transducer systems only and does not include a battery or on-board electronics. Don't be fooled by the sound of some competitors' "thin sounding" passive systems--the Pure Systems are definitely different. They sound full and rich and have sufficient output to drive most amps and PA systems directly! Made in USA,
With 3 Tranducer pickup heads it super balanced, flat sound transmission, warm woody tone without any quack and superior dynamic range all over the guitar's frequency spectrum. This pickup won the silver medal in the 2006 worldwide readers' poll of Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Made in USA.
The Pure Piano consists of three transducer heads, each one of them tailor-made to fit their defined frequency range. The system was developed in cooperation with the renowned German piano manufacturer Seiler Pianos. The Pure Piano guarantees an impressively natural, clean, and balanced sound as well as a quick installation. It delivers a high output volume and exquisite frequency range. Each of the three transducer heads has been specifically processed to fit the bass, mid, and descant tone ranges. This is especially important in order to avoid an exaggerated hammer-sound in the high keys. The three pickup discs are connected to a sturdy studio-quality metal jack to ensure reliable contact over a long period of time. With the Pure Piano, clean and separate transmission is provided for any piano or grand piano, be it on stage or in the studio. Technical Specs Diameter transducer heads: 1 x 1/2". 2 x 3/4" Transducers head height: 1/32" Impedance: High ohmic Output: Quarter inch
The Pure Resonator BB is designed especially for biscuit bridge resonator guitars. It features a screw-mounted pickup for best possible sound transmission with maximum feedback resistance. The jack can be installed externally or internally. The pickup is pre-wired to an endpin jack, including an external Dual-Lock Velcro fastening system. The jack can also be installed internally if the Dual-Lock Velcro is removed. A flush mount nylon jack is supplied as well for optional internal installation. Made in USA.
The Pure Resonator SB is designed especially for spider bridge resonator guitars. The pickup is designed to be installed inside the resonator cone on the center screw. Made in USA.
The Silver Bullet Microphone is a very powerful condenser microphone with excellent sound and frequency range. Its outstanding performance, especially on wind instruments, makes this small mic an affordable tool for every musician. The Silver Bullet Microphone can be conveniently attached both externally and internally to a wide variety of instruments: Wind Instruments, such as concert flute, clarinet, trumpet or saxophone. A foam wind screen is provided for all applications on wind instruments. Hand drums, such as darabokas, dumbaks, djembes, bongos, as well as kalimba or slit drum. String instruments such as mandolin, banjo, piano, violin, acoustic guitars, and ethnic instruments like sitar, bouzouki, saz, oud, balalaika and similar. Vocals, for use as a Lavalier microphone. The Silver Bullet Microphone has a 4" gooseneck built into the cable for quick and sturdy positioning of the microphone. This allows a variety of elevated positions on wind instruments. Two different attachment systems are supplied to accommodate different mounting methods: a padded clip and a Dual-Lock Velcro attachment in case the clip does not fit your instrument. The mic plugs into the Silver Bullet Preamp, which provides active pre-amplification, plus active balanced XLR Out. The Silver Bullet Preamp works either on phantom power or with a 9-volt battery and provides 5-volt power to the microphone. The preamp is available with an XLR balanced output or a 1/4" instrument line output (e.g. for combo amps). Please note, the 1/4" output requires a 9-volt battery and does not work on phantom power. You can purchase the Silver Bullet Solo without a preamp, but please note that the microphone itself does not include a power supply. Unless you already own a second Silver Bullet System, a dedicated microphone preamp (like the Fishman Blender) is needed. The power supply needs to be 2 wire / 1/4" input, stable 5-9 Volt. Technical Specs Frequency range: 20 - 20,000 Hz Sensitivity: 8 mV / PA / 1 kHz Maximum SPL: 133dB Polar Pattern: Soft cardioid Preamp Power Supply: 12-48 volt phantom power or 9-volt battery (phantom power with XLR type only) Mic Power Supply: 5 Volt supplied by S
The K&K Sound Banjo Twin is designed to reproduce the true banjo sound with very natural tone quality and with very little effect on the acoustic tone. The Banjo Twin works well in passive mode, especially if acoustic amps are used. If a preamp should be necessary, we recommend our Pure Preamp. Technical Specs Cable length: 10" Pickup size: 27mm diameter Impedance: High ohmic Jack: Stereo TRSS endpin jack wired mono Installation Notes The Banjo Twin does not require any alteration to your instrument. All the components are installed with special double-sided tape or self-adhesive fasteners. These will not harm the finish of your instrument and residue can be removed with WD-40. The two pickups are installed on the inside of the banjo head using a removable self-adhesive fastening system, specially designed for the installation on the banjo head. This adhesive is affixed to the two outer edges of the pickups only. We call this the "Catamaran" mounting technique. Using this technique, the center portion of the pickup is free-floating, enhancing response while reducing the adhesive surface by about 40% and therefore having only very little effect on the acoustic sound. The Banjo Twin system is equipped with a multi-use endpin jack. This jack can be mounted three ways: on the outside of the banjo (see photo), mounted with internal drill-through installation, or installed in a slot of the outer rim. For the external-mount, the jack is attached with K&K's self-adhesive dual-lock system (similar to Velcro but much stronger). It can be indefinitely opened and closed without wear and tear and guarantees super holding power with absolutely no mechanical noise. This way, the jack can be temporarily removed to fit your instrument into a carrying case.
The Definity System is a brand-new solution that delivers K&K's natural pickup power to a variety of difficult to amplify acoustic instruments. Definity is designed for floating bridge instrument, semi-acoustic electric guitars with Tune-o-matic bridges, Banjo, Cello, Double Bass and many ethnic or folk instruments like Bouzouki, Saz, etc. The pickup is only 6/1000 of an inch thin and measures 1 3/4” x 3/4” total. They call it a “compression pickup” because it is especially suited for “wedged” applications under a floating bridge. However, the pickup element is capable of transmitting sound like soundboard transducers as well. In fact, we found that the best tone is achieved if the pickup is mounted so it is partially “wedged” and partially open on the soundboard. The Definity pickup reaches its true potential with a matched preamp (included in the price!). The Definity Preamp, which features a phase switch, adjustable mid and treble controls (via trimpots), and a 1/4” line out, makes the package complete.
The K&K Sound Mandolin Twin Internal is a fully internal pickup system. Both the tranducers and the endpin-jack are mounted inside the mandolin. The transducers are attached with double-sided adhesive tape, providing a robust installation with minimum sound interference. Installation of this system should be done by an experienced luthier or mandolin tech. If you are looking for a system that is easy to install by yourself please check out our Mandolin Twin Fusion system. Made in USA.
