The guitar or bass strings lie on low-friction roller saddles which prevent the strings from breaking.
This means the string spacing can be adjusted flexibly.
Our STM bridge has two different types of saddle to suit the different string gauges: three V-shaped saddles for the high strings and three U-shaped saddles for the low strings.
Complete with height adjustment screws and teenuts.
Optionally, two rollers can be mounted per string ferrule for double string guiding.
The precise angle of the slanted position is determined by the guitar-maker based on the vibrating string length and on the string gauge of the instrument. No template is required here.
